ITALIAN HIGH-QUALITY HONEY TASTING EXPERIENCE

Did you know that honey can have hundreds of different tastes? That depends on the flowers visited by the bees. Therefore, Italy with its landscape is the country where you can find the widest variety and the best quality of honey. A Sommelier is completely involved in the honey tasting and that is what is going to happen to you: your eyes will be astonished by the different hues of honey, ranging from white to black. Your nose will be captured by the nuances of its fragrance, as varied and diverse as the flowers that grow all around Italy. Finally, when your tongue will feel the honey texture – be it liquid or thick – you will have a complete sensorial experience. Amazed by the unusual aroma of all the honeys you will taste, you’ll learn how to compare and contrast them describing your impressions. You will find them so particular that you will never forget their aroma! That’s why, at the end of the experience, participants will be able to distinguish all the different types of honey and pair them with a selection of local cheese. We will conclude our honey&cheese aperitivo with a glass of wine selected by the Enoteca from small artisan-producers! You will also have the possibility to buy some honey, according to seasonal availability.

The honey tasting experience will be held at Enoteca Coquinarius, near the Cathedral.
Cost: Euro 50 (Euro 75 for the deluxe version, with a special selection of rare and awarded Italian and foreign honeys, in combination with a maxi cold cuts platter).
